Sprinkler Installation in Fort Pierce
We are Treasure Coast Sprinklers, and we install new sprinkler systems for homes and businesses in Fort Pierce, FL.
A good installation is decided before any digging. The lot gets mapped, the planting is sorted by how much water it takes, and the head layout is drawn so every patch of turf is reached without soaking the driveway. Then the lines go in, the heads and valves are set, and the "controller" is programmed for the season.
You get a free estimate on site, and we quote the whole job before we start, with no surprise charges after.
Replace or repair?
When a New System Beats a Repair
A new system is the better choice when the existing system is old and beyond repair or still runs but wastes water, though plenty of older systems are repaired and upgraded with newer parts instead.
Sprinkler installation
Go with a new system when
- Pipes, valves and heads are failing faster than they can be fixed.
- It still waters, but puts down far more than the lawn needs.
- Repair bills keep coming, since a new system needs fewer fixes and uses less water, so it can cost less over time.
Repair and upgrade when
- The pipe in the ground is sound and the trouble is in heads, valves or the timer.
- Newer, more efficient heads and nozzles can go on the existing lines.
- The coverage is right and only the parts have aged.
Not sure which side your system falls on? That is what the free estimate is for.

My sprinkler system was 30 years old and needed replaced. They replaced everything on 1-7-21. The crew and Carl were excellent and answered all my questions and explained everything. Carl also explained the NEW digital system to me, making sure I understood how to use it. They only replaced what was necessary and were very fair. Strongly recommend this company.

The design behind it
How Zones and Heads Are Laid Out
Good design groups zones by the water needs of the plants they serve and spaces heads for uniform coverage, accounting for soil type, slope, precipitation rate, and sun and shade.
Hydro-zoning
"Hydro-zoning" keeps thirsty turf and drought-hardy shrubs off the same valve, so neither is starved or drowned for the other.
Head spacing
With proper "head spacing" and regulated pressure, each spray reaches the next head and the lawn greens evenly.
Soil type
Sand drains fast and holds little, so run times stay short and frequent.
Precipitation rate
How fast heads put water down. Sprays and "rotor" heads differ, so they get valves of their own.
Percolation rate
How fast the ground soaks it up. The "percolation rate" sets how long a run lasts before water starts to pool.
Sun and shade
Turf in full sun dries out sooner than a strip under a live oak, and the schedule reflects it.
Planted beds often do better with low-flow "drip irrigation" that wets the roots without spray.

How a New System Goes In
From your call to the last zone tested, with the price fixed before any work begins.
-
Walk the lot
We come out at the time we set, look over the lawn, beds, water supply and where the controller can mount.
-
Draw and quote
You see where every zone, head and valve goes, and the price covers all of it up front.
-
Trench and lay pipe
Narrow trenches carry the laterals from the valve manifold out to each head location.
-
Set heads and wire
Heads go in flush with the grade, and the valve wires run back to the timer.
-
Test and tidy
Each zone runs while the arcs are tuned, then the trenches are closed and the yard cleaned up.

Watering Targets for a New System
The trade sets a new system to deliver about an inch of water a week, rain included, run outside the heat of the day so less of it evaporates.
That is the guidance in the U.S. EPA WaterSense watering tips. Early runs also leave the blades dry by afternoon, which cuts down on lawn disease, and a "rain sensor" skips a cycle when a storm has already done the job.
- 1 to 1.5 in.
- Typical weekly target, rain counted
- 4 to 10 a.m.
- The usual window for a run
